The Phillipps charitable trust is a grant making body that provides funds for other charities.  Whilst these charities need to be consistent with the aims of the trust - see adjacent information - we also have a particular focus on projects that enable or leverage future development and have the potential to enable people or charities to subsequently become self-supporting.

We are a relatively small trust and would typically make grants of £5 - 15k per charity.  We typically proactively approach charities but in exceptional circumstances may respond to approaches.

The trust is a relatively small fund and therefore has to focus somewhat.  With this in mind, we do not fund projects whose primary focus is outside our areas.  For example we would not normally fund projects whose focus is on medical conditions, religious activity, support for animals, etc, whilst retaining great respect for people and charities who do focus on these areas.
